Our experienced staff will work with your department to help bring principled policing concepts to your agency. We will work with your command staff, training staff, or any other department members to help examine current policies, procedures, and training. Our focus is on police legitimacy, police-community relations, officer wellness, and officer safety.
This training session focuses on understanding police legitimacy and procedural justice, the relationship between the community and the police. The training is divided into six modules to include brief PowerPoint presentations; media clips illustrating key elements; group exercises; anecdotal experiences recounted by instructors, participating students and community members (if present); and the facilitation of frank and courageous discussion amongst participants. There is a heavy emphasis on employee wellness to include the mental and emotional health of employees.
This training is a continuation of procedural justice. Attendees should have already attended procedural justice prior to attending this training. Implicit biases are a natural human attribute. The training is divided into eight modules to include brief PowerPoint presentations; media clips illustrating key elements; group exercises; anecdotal experiences recounted by instructors, participating students and community members (if present); and the facilitation of frank and courageous discussion amongst participants.
